Div 14 · Conveying Equipment

Elevator maintenance and repair

An elevator out of service is not a maintenance issue, it is a tenant issue. It becomes a leasing issue about a week later, and in a building with an accessible route requirement it becomes a compliance issue immediately.

We inspect, service, update and repair commercial elevator equipment to manufacturer specification, using certified technicians and diagnostic tooling rather than swap-and-hope.

This is also where the group structure matters. Facility Service Group and Prime Elevator Corp are both companies of The Holdings Group. When your building's elevator work is inside an FSG contract, the people performing it are the same organization — not a subcontractor the property manager has never met.

What is in scope

  • Scheduled preventive maintenance to manufacturer specification
  • Urgent repair and entrapment response
  • Traction and hydraulic passenger elevators
  • Freight elevators and service cars
  • Escalators and moving walks
  • Controller diagnostics and modernization scoping
  • Annual inspection support and violation correction

When people call us

  • The car is out of service and your provider quoted a week for parts
  • You have inherited a building and cannot find the last inspection record
  • The elevator is running but stopping short of floor level
  • You are being quoted a full modernization and want a second read on the scope

None of these describe your situation? Describe it in your own words instead. The quote form routes by property type and scope, not by which page you landed on.

Questions we actually get asked

Do you service elevators you did not install?

Yes. Most of the equipment we maintain was installed by someone else. Manufacturer, age and controller type determine parts lead time, not who put it in.

How often should a commercial elevator be serviced?

Monthly preventive service is the common standard for passenger equipment in occupied commercial buildings, with the interval set by manufacturer specification, duty cycle and local requirements. Freight and high-traffic cars often warrant more.

Are you the same company as Prime Elevator?

Both Facility Service Group and Prime Elevator Corp are companies of The Holdings Group. That is why elevator work can sit inside a facility maintenance contract instead of being brokered out.

That was the best line on the old website and it sat halfway down the homepage under a generic button. Tell us what building you are running and what is not getting done.
