Div 03 · Concrete

Commercial concrete and flatwork

Gulf Coast clay moves. Sidewalks lift at the joints, dock aprons crack under load, and the trip hazard that generates a claim is almost always a slab that has been separating for two years.

We perform commercial concrete work — sidewalks, entries, dock aprons, curbs, pads, ramps and repair of failed flatwork.

Repair versus replace is the decision worth getting right. Patching a slab that is failing from below buys about one season, and any contractor who does not look at what is under it is selling you that season twice.

What is in scope

  • Sidewalk, entry and plaza flatwork
  • Dock aprons and truck court paving
  • Equipment pads and generator pads
  • Curb, gutter and wheel stop
  • ADA ramps and detectable warning surfaces
  • Trip hazard grinding and slab repair
  • Joint sealing and crack repair
  • Bollard installation

When people call us

  • A sidewalk joint has lifted into a trip hazard
  • A dock apron is cracking under trailer load
  • You need an equipment or generator pad poured
  • An inspection flagged an accessible route

Questions we actually get asked

Should cracked concrete be repaired or replaced?

Surface cracking on a sound slab is a repair. Cracking with vertical displacement, spalling at the joint or a hollow sound underfoot usually means the base has failed, and patching that is a temporary purchase.
